Such a cute coffee shop. Came to visit Berkeley for the weekend and was pleasantly surprised to find this coffee shop outside of the hustle & bustle of telegraph ave. The ice coffee was delicious, and the staff were friendly and funny. I'm excited to come back tomorrow!

love this cafe! the owner is always so sweet and it has such a nice atmosphere. he made me a pup cup (cup of whipped cream) for my dog even though he had never heard of doing that LOL and we really appreciated it

Hazim makes a good capuchino, his coffee is fine, and the baked goods on offer are very good. He prepares nice lunches. Mudrakers is not "upscale" but must EVERYthing be modernized and cold? Mudrakers is like a friendly living room. Comfy couch, amateur photos on the walls, old-fashioned vibe. It has two rooms with quite a lot of seating, easy to get to on Telegraph bus lines. A welcoming and relaxed "old school" hang-out. You'll like it. Melody

Cozy atmosphere with couches and a back seating area. One of the less crowded cafes in South Berkeley -- good place to do work. I would recommend the cappuccino over the latte. They have several non-coffee food options: sandwiches, salads, falafel which I have yet to try. Just a warning, around 3pm there will be a random posse of middle schoolers because Willard MS is across the street.

A cute, quiet cafe that might have the best salad in the Bay Area! I strongly recommend getting the Mixed Green, Halloumi, and Smoked Almond Salad. It has both halloumi and feta cheese, dates, cucumbers....its excellent. Hazim, the owner, is also friendly and funny. (Ask him about the Turkish Coffee! ) Cozy place to sit and get work done!

I've been going here since they opened as friendly service, decent food, not crowded and great location! Some poor mannered patrons come hoping to just have free wifi and then give a bad review because they are asked to order something!

I think I just found my new favorite place! I stopped in Mudrakers Cafe today for the first time to get a quick lunch -- hard to choose but I got the Blue Cheese & Pear salad and it is TO DIE FOR! The kind of salad you might find at some kitschy, hipster sit-down restaurant for $20. Except Mudrakers will give you a better portion. Excellent coffee as well! Plus cookies and other pastries that looked great if I only had a deeper stomach. And the man that took my order made friendly conversation with me, which I always appreciate! I'll be back on a regular basis now because it's rare to find a place I like this much

Lovely spot! I brought the kid I'm nannying, and the owner was so friendly. Gave extra whipped cream for the little one's hot chocolate as well (: Will be back to try other menu items
